Cookie Policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
To manage what we share for ads, use .
In short
- In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and in Washington and Nevada, only strictly necessary cookies are on until you choose. Elsewhere, including the rest of the US, you can turn off analytics and ads at any time.
- Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and you can change your mind any time.
- Ad cookies are only for our ads. Your quiz answers never go to ad platforms.
This summary helps you read the policy. The full text below is what applies.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use similar tools, such as pixels, tags and local storage. In this policy we call them all cookies.
2. The types we use
| Type | What it does | How long | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keep the site, quiz and checkout working, keep your quiz progress on this device, keep you logged in, remember your cookie choice, prevent fraud | Session to 2 years | Always on |
| Our own measurement | A random visitor id and the site that sent you, so we can see in our own database how people find us and move through the quiz. Never shared with ad platforms. | 30 minutes to 12 months | Always on |
| Analytics | Our analytics provider, Amplitude, receives the quiz events from our server, such as the screens you saw and the answers you picked, linked to a random id instead of your name or email. It places no cookie in your browser. | See the Privacy Policy | Your choice (elsewhere: on until you turn it off) |
| Marketing | Measure which ads bring sign-ups and purchases, show our ads to people who visited our website (remarketing), and limit how often you see our ads. We use the Google tag for this on our website and in the quiz. We may also use cookies from Meta and AppLovin; those can run only on the first screen of the quiz, the email step and the offer. | Up to 90 days for the cookies on our site; see the table below | Your choice (elsewhere: on until you turn it off) |
3. Your choice
If you are in the EU, the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, in Washington or Nevada, or we can’t tell where you are, our website and our quiz ask first which cookies you allow. “Deny” and “Accept All” are equally easy, and until you choose, only strictly necessary cookies and our own measurement run. “Accept All” turns on analytics and ad cookies. “Deny” keeps them off.
Elsewhere, including the rest of the US, we don’t ask first. Where this policy says “elsewhere”, it means outside the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and outside Washington and Nevada. Analytics and ad cookies are on until you turn them off with “Your Privacy Choices”, with “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”, or with a Global Privacy Control signal.
You can change your cookie choices at any time via “Your Privacy Choices” at the bottom of every page of our website. We store your choice in a cookie on your device for 12 months. After that, we ask again, or elsewhere the default above applies again.
We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a “no” to marketing cookies and to sending your data to ad platforms. It also overrides an earlier “yes”.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site, such as the checkout, may not work.
4. The cookies and storage we use

5. What our ad cookies can and can’t see
Our ad cookies tell ad platforms neutral events, such as which pages of our website someone visited, that someone opened the quiz or reached the thank-you page, so we can see which ads work and show our ads to past visitors. They never receive your quiz answers, your course answers or anything you write, except your email address: on the email step the Google tag sends it to Google in hashed form, to match sign-ups to ads. The Google tag runs on our website and on every quiz screen, never in the course. It gets the page address without the quiz screen or anything else from the address bar, so it can’t tell which question you are on. Meta and AppLovin, if we start using them, can run only on the first screen of the quiz, the email step and the offer.
From our server, we tell Google when someone signs up or buys, so we can count which ads work. We do this only if you allow marketing, or elsewhere, unless you opted out. We send your email address only in hashed form (a scrambled code the platform can match but not read back), the ad click id from the link you came from (such as gclid, gbraid or wbraid), the value of a purchase and your cookie choice.
If we start using Meta or AppLovin, they would get the same kind of event from our server, with the same consent rule: your hashed email address, the ad click id, your IP address, your browser’s user agent and their own cookie ids. Ad platforms process some of this data under their own privacy policies.
